Damn Dust
May 18, 2007Dust has killed my scans. I need some advice on how to reduce dust on negatives. I’m using photo-flo, drying the negs in my shower and scanning them. This is my favorite from the first roll so I removed the dust to post here.
I was sitting in on a committee hearing at the Iowa state legislature and it was getting late. The room so ornate and it was a very dark night outside. A man was sitting in front of me. I sat my Leica on my waist, guessed on aim, exposure, and focus. I’m happy with result
I never use photoflo. i just wipe off the water with a squeeze after hanging them to dry in my shower. of course i put the squeeze in hot water before that.
after 1-2h i cut the roll and put it into negfiles.
I’ve been told, but haven’t actually tried yet, that using a lenspen on the negs once they’ve dried works wonders.
